# Verified Reviews for Stripe

Signed Reviews connects to Stripe in one click and asks every paying customer for a review, linked to their charge. Minimal permissions.

The Signed Reviews Stripe integration connects in one click: no code, no API keys, no webhook configuration. Once connected, each new paying customer automatically gets one verified review invitation sequence. The connection is **limited to four read scopes plus two opt-in coupon permissions** (enforced by Stripe's OAuth model).

## What we can (and can't) do

We **cannot** charge your customers or create payment intents.

### ❌ Issue refunds

We **cannot** refund or modify any transaction in your account.

## How to connect

1.  ### Sign up or log in
    
    Create a free Signed Reviews account at [platform.signedreviews.com](https://platform.signedreviews.com). No credit card required. The Free plan includes Stripe integration with unlimited self-service reviews and 10 free automated review invitations.
    
2.  ### Click "Connect Stripe"
    
    In your dashboard, click the Stripe connection button. You'll be redirected to Stripe's official OAuth authorization page, the same flow used by thousands of Stripe App installations.
    
3.  ### Authorize the permissions
    
    Stripe shows you exactly which permissions are requested, four read scopes plus two coupon permissions used only for review incentives. Review and click "Connect." The redirect brings you back to your Signed Reviews dashboard.
    
4.  ### Configure auto-requests
    
    Choose your invitation timing: immediately after purchase (digital products) or after a configurable delay (physical products). Set reminder cadence: standard is 3 and 7 days.
    
5.  ### Customize your branding
    
    Upload your logo, set brand colors, and customize the email sender name. Every review invitation carries your branding: your customers see your business, not ours.
    
6.  ### Go live
    
    Switch from test mode to live. Each new paying customer automatically gets one verified review invitation sequence. Your public review page is live immediately at `signedreviews.com/yourbusiness`.

## Frequently asked questions

What can Signed Reviews do in my Stripe account?

You grant read access to charges, customers, subscriptions, and balance transactions, plus two coupon permissions that are used only when you enable review incentives. Signed Reviews cannot create charges, issue refunds, move funds, update subscriptions, modify customers, or initiate any other write operation in your Stripe account. This is enforced by Stripe's permission model, not by policy.

Does this work with Stripe Connect platforms?

Yes, if your platform processes payments through Stripe Connect and you have access to the Stripe account, you can connect it. Each connected account is treated independently.

What happens if a charge is refunded?

Signed Reviews re-checks charges every 6 hours. If a charge is fully refunded or disputed, the associated review is hidden from your public page automatically. No manual moderation. The review record is preserved for audit but not displayed. Partial refunds stay visible.

Do I need to change anything in my Stripe account?

No. You don't need to add webhooks, modify API keys, or change any settings in your Stripe dashboard. The OAuth connection handles everything.

Can I disconnect at any time?

Yes. Disconnect from your Signed Reviews dashboard or revoke access from your Stripe dashboard. Your existing verified reviews remain. The cryptographic signatures are independent of the active connection.

Does this work with Stripe test mode?

Yes. You can connect a Stripe test-mode account during onboarding. Switch to live mode when you're ready to go to production.
